The lovely board members of #TheTakeBack and volunteers who pitched in this past weekend at the Back to School Fest!

Our Back to School Fest was a success! I've been serving with #TheTakeBack for the last two years and I couldn't be more grateful to do so with caring, like-minded people. As a 501 C3 org (click here for more info), #TheTakeBack does its all to cater to the youth living on our city's south-side, providing free school supplies and a safe place to get up and get active as the new school year approaches. I was honestly nervous about how *I* would do that day, given that I'd been running around like a chicken with its head cut off because of work, my family reunion, and other obligations for that weekend. But, even with the exhaustion, the soreness, and the fact that I got locked out of my car during the event, my body actually made it through the day, and it was so worth it!
